Wrii Studio, founded by NIFT Bhubaneswar alumna Writuparna Kar, is a Kolkata-based slow fashion label that reimagines the timeless Jamdani weave through a contemporary lens. Collaborating with artisan clusters in Katwa and Santipur, the brand blends traditional handweaving techniques with thoughtful, story-driven design. Each saree begins as a hand-drawn sketch, refined digitally, and then brought to life on the loom by skilled weavers. Wrii Studio’s distinctive aesthetic lies in its refined color palettes, delicate nature-inspired motifs, and the harmonious interplay of geometry and softness. Every piece is more than a garment—it’s a wearable story that honors craft, culture, and creativity, while offering a modern platform for heritage textiles to thrive.
